All year round Spiez hosts various sport- and cultural events such as the Seaside Festival, the Christmas market «Chlouse-Märit», the Seenachtsfest or the wine-growers festival «Läset Sunntig». Also numerous small but nice events enrich the range of recreational activities. In total there are over 800 events in the annual calendar of Spiez. No wonder: In the community on Lake Thun, there are about 130 active associations which are registered. With their members these ensure amongst other things diversity in the programme of events.
